Are all Craftsman Tools made in China now?
I bought a set of 7 Craftsman wrenches at Sears yesterday. To my surprise they’re stamped Made in China. I thought Danaher Tools of Maryland made the Sears hand tools. I was also told that Danaher also makes for NAPA and Lowes. An acquaintance also mentioned that Stanley makes Husky hand tools for Home Depot. Is this all true and will all Craftsman Hand tools be made in China now?
Craftsman hand tools west of the Mississippi river, Home Depot, S&K, Proto, and Wright Tool are currently made by Western Forge in Englewood Colorado…East is made by Danaher..danaher and WF are subsidiaries of Emerson Electric….
The new Craftsman Evolv tools are made by K&R Tools in China
It looks like Sears may switch tool production to K&R, which would be a shame because K&R mostly makes cheap junk……
